Aline Gogel, 88, of Mariah Hill, passed away, Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Aline was born April 28, 1927, in Ferdinand to Alois and Cecelia (Seger) Oeding. She married Claude P. Gogel on September 16, 1950, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Claude preceded her in death on April 13, 2013. Aline was a homemaker. She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and it's Ladies Sodality. Aline was also was a member of Jasper VFW Post 673 Ladies Auxiliary. Aline enjoyed quilting and gardening. She especially enjoyed growing geraniums. Aline was a wonderful cook who learned to cook at a young age and enjoyed doing so for her family her entire life. Aline is survived by three sons, David Gogel, Daniel Gogel and wife Lori all of Mariah Hill, Kevin Gogel and wife Missy of Indianapolis; three daughters, Karen Boeglin and husband Leroy of Bretzville, Mary Gogel of Mariah Hill, Kristine Eckert and husband Steve of St. Henry; one brother, Jerome Oeding and wife Joan of Jasper; four sisters, Cyrilla Betz and husband Joseph of Huntingburg, Rita Altman and husband Dennis and Joan Oeding all of Ferdinand, Almeda Hurst and husband Edward of Mariah Hill; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Aline was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Gogel and a brother James N. Oeding. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8:00 PM CDT, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Mariah Hill and also Tuesday from 9:00 AM CDT, until time of services. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday in Mary Help of Christians Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
