Anna Lee Haug, 83 of Ferdinand, passed away, Tuesday, August 25th, in Brookside Village Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born December 16, 1931 in Ferdinand to Leo C. & Josephine H. (Loew) Jasper. She married Clarence E. Haug on October 3, 1953 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1998. Anna Lee was a member of Saint Ferdinand Parish, Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 Auxillary, and was a former Dubois County 4-H leader. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading, canning, baking, & farm life. She enjoyed being with family and friends. Surviving are 4 sons, Mark Haug, Steve Haug and wife Shirley, Joe Haug and wife Karen, Albert Haug and wife Tammy all of Ferdinand. 3 daughters, Cathy Beier and husband Eugene, Diane Lechner and husband Steve, Ruth Hoffman and husband Keith all of Ferdinand. 16 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. 4 brothers, Kenneth Jasper of Rapid City, S.D., Henry Jasper of St. Anthony, Albert Jasper of Portland, Oregon, & Robert "Bob" Jasper of Tell City. 5 sisters, Rita Kunkler of St. Meinrad, Marlene Kunkler and husband Jerome of St. Marks, Teresa Jasper of Jasper, Alberta Lehman of Bloomington, and Phyllis Perkins of Owasso, OK., She was preceded in death by two brothers, John & Edward Jasper, two sisters, Mary Jo Niehaus-Thomas, & Margaret Jasper. Funeral services 10:00 AM Saturday in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8:00 PM Friday and from 7 to 9:30 AM Saturday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
