David "Jay" Hides, of Louisville, KY passed away Saturday, June 23rd at Baptist Health in Louisville. Jay was born July 12, 1967 in Louisville. He married Gina Mohr on November 3, 2001 in St. Ferdinand Church. He worked in sales. Jay was a fan of all sports, especially golf. He loved University of Kentucky Athletics. Jay genuinely loved life and lived it to the fullest. Even in death Jay gave the gift of life by becoming an organ donor. Jay served in the Army and was a Veteran of Desert Storm. He is survived by his wife, Gina of Louisville; one son, David (Erica) Hides of Bloomington, IN; a daughter, Brittani Campbell of Louisville, KY; a brother, Keith Hides of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Brianna, Jonathan and Trey; a niece, Claire Mohr of Ferdinand; nephews, Blake and Cole Mohr both of Ferdinand. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 will conduct military graveside rights. Visitation will be Friday at St. Ferdinand Church from 8:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church or the Tri-County YMCA.
