Denise (Vaal) Stetter, 50 of Santa Claus passed away Friday May 6th at her home in Santa Claus. Denise was born on September 21, 1971 in Saint Clair, MO. to Luthern "Larry" and Marcella (Hack) Harper Jr. She was united in marriage to Glenn E. Vaal on August 31, 1991 in Saint Meinrad Church. Glenn preceded her in death on October 6, 2009. Denise was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of St. Peters United Church Of Christ in Lamar. She was a United States Navy Veteran. Denise enjoyed raising dogs, horses and animals. She loved being with family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Garret R. Vaal of St. Meinrad, and Gavin R. Vaal of Evansville. One daughter, Gracelyn (Trent) Vaal Durham of Santa Claus. One grandson on the way. Her parents, Larry and Marcella Harper of Mariah Hill, and a sister Deborah (David) Hughes of Grandview. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
