Elizabeth "Betti" Kempf, 65 of Ferdinand passed away on Thursday, June 7th at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. Betti was born June 25, 1952 in Ferdinand to Robert and Patricia (Carlisle) Oser. She married Glenn Kempf on August 1, 1970 in St. Ferdinand Church. Betti worked for 40 years in accounts payable. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. Betti enjoyed flower gardening and reading. Betti also enjoyed attending car shows with her husband Glenn. Betti gave the gift of life by being an organ donor. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church where she served as an usher. Betti belonged to Ferdinand Legion Auxiliary, Ferdinand Community Center and was a Friend of the Ferdinand Library. Betti is survived by her husband Glenn; two sons, Ryan (Valerie) Kempf of Durham, NC and Luke (Meredith) Kempf of Evansville; two brothers, Rich (Laverne) Oser and Randy (Bev) Oser all of Ferdinand; three sisters, Pearline Wilson, Pam (Dave) Kippenbrock and Kim Oser all of Ferdinand; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Elijah Kempf both of Durham, NC. Betti was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8:00 PM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and Wednesday from 7-9:30 AM at the funeral home.
