Gerald Lee "Jerry" Crowder, 72 of Saint Meinrad died Tuesday May 3rd in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born May 19, 1943 in Linton, Indiana to Fred Leo & Wilma Lucille (Frye) Crowder. He married Terri J. Ferguson on November 22, 1975 in Bloomfield, Indiana. Gerald was a member of Santa Claus United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He retired from Kimball , Heritage Hills Division in Santa Claus. He was a Viet-Nam era Army veteran, and retired as a first Lieutenant in the US Army reserves. He was an avid Indiana University and Indianapolis Colts fan. Especially a Payton Manning fan, and an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan. Surviving are his wife, Terri J. Crowder, one daughter, Lindsay (Matthew) Brown of New Albany, 2 sons, Christopher & Aaron Crowder both of Fulda, and a step-daughter, Julie (Bruce) Dunn of California. His mother, Wilma Crowder of Santa Claus. Also surviving are six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Leo Crowder. Funeral services 1:00 PM CDT Friday May 6th in Santa Claus United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 till service time Friday.
