Jeffrey Paulin,61, of Siberia passed away surrounded by family on September 17, 2026 at U of L Jewish hospital in Louisville Ky. Jeff was born in Huntingburg, IN on March 26, 1965 to Earl and Therese (Messmer) Paulin.
Jeff was a hardworking man of many talents. Throughout his life, he worked as a truck driver, bus driver, electrician, plumber, and heavy equipment operator. He had the kind of knowledge and ability that allowed him to fix just about anything, but more importantly, he was always willing to use those abilities to help others.
Jeff was especially proud of his son Jake. He never missed a game or practice that Jake played. He especially loved Perry Central football games and helping Jake with 4-H projects. Later in life Jeff and Jake were team drivers and drove cross country together for Jasper Engines.
Jeff was also a sports fan and enjoyed cheering on University of Kentucky and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed music of all kinds and loved to sing. Jeff also loved many animals especially dogs. Jeff will always be rememberd for a true friend to everyone he met.
Jeff is survived by his son, Jake(Brianna Dowland) Paulin of St. Meinrad; Siblings Gregory (Mickie) Paulin of Ferdinand, Anthony (Ruth) Paulin of Ferdinand, Brenda (Glen) Schuetter of Birdseye, Cheryl (Tim) Sherman of Siberia, Patricia (Todd Jenkins) Reckelhoff of Celestine; And many nieces and nephews
Jeff was proceeded in death by parents Earl and Therese Paulin; brother Patrick Paulin; two nephews Steven Hempfling and Eric Hempfling
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday. September 24 at 10:00 AM CDT at St. Meinrad Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery in Siberia. Friends may call from 3:00 PM CDT to 7:00 PM CDT on Wednesday, September 23 at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, and again on Thursday September 24th from 9:00 AM CDT at St. Meinrad Catholic Church to time of mass.
Jeff will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, neighbors, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
