Larry A. Werne, 73, of Ferdinand passed away June 2, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born in Washington, IN. on November 6, 1949 to Gilbert and Irene (Terwiske) Werne. He was united in marriage to Linda Head on September 9, 1972 in St. Ferdinand Church. Larry was a member of Ferdinand American Legion and the Ferdinand V.F.W. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Viet-Nam War. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and football. Surviving are his wife, Linda Werne, one daughter, Karen (David) Willis of Gentryville, two sons, Jason Werne of Loveland, OH., and Jonathan (Misty) Werne of Huntingburg. Seven grandchildren. Two great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Darla (Tom) Schipp of Ferdinand and Sharon (Kenneth) Persohn of Schnellville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Gary Werne.
