Obituary

Maurice E. Rickelman, 81 of St. Henry formerly of Ferdinand passed away Tuesday August 1st in Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. He was born June 3, 1936 in Spencer County to Edmund & Catherine "Katie" (Denning) Rickelman. Maurice was a member of Christ the King, St. Ferdinand Parish. He was a Korean war veteran and a member of Ferdinand American Legion Post 124, Ferdinand V.F.W., St. Henry Catholic Knights of America, Huntingburg Eagles, and St. Meinrad K of C # 5599. He was retired from the Laborers Union. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Surviving are five sons, Kenny (Sue) Rickelman of Buffaloville, Denny (Sherri) Rickelman of Fulda, Renny (Louise) Rickelman on St. Henry, Lenny (Diane) and Benny (Beth) Rickelman both of Ferdinand. 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. One sister, Hilda Waninger of Ferdinand, two brothers, Joe and David (Mary) Rickelman both of Ferdinand. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday August 9th in Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in St. Meinrad Parish Cemetery.
