Michael W. Robinson, 79, of Santa Claus passed away Sunday June 30, 2024 at his home in Christmas Lake Village. Michael was born on September 14, 1944 in Terre Haute to Lester and Eva (Biddle) Robinson. He was united in marriage to Joyce Rippetoe on December 25, 1965 in St. Joseph Church in Terre Haute. Michael retired from Public Service Indiana, (Duke Energy) as a computer technician and sales. He also worked for Johnson Controls, and George Booth Company. He was a member of Santa Claus Optimist Club, Santa Claus K of C, and was past president and member of the Christmas Lake Village H.O.A. Michael was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Viet Nam war, and served as a Hospital Man second class. He received two purple hearts, and a bronze star. He also volunteered at the St. Nicholas Church Picnic. Michael was a member of Santa Claus Legion. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Joyce Robinson. One daughter Lee Anne (Larry) Meadows of Fort Branch, One son Michael Ray (Britney) Robinson of Louisville. Three grand-daughters. One brother, Larry (Nancy) Robinson of Plano, TX. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and Uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Wednesday July 3rd in St. Boniface Church in Fulda. Burial with military graveside rites in the church cemetery to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday June 2nd from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM CDT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand, and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM CDT at the church.
