Randy was born October 23, 1965 in Jasper to Floyd and Ruth (Bolin) Englert. Randy attended Forest Park High School with the class of 1984 before joining the United States Army. He was also a member of the Ferdinand Legion. Randy had a deep appreciation for various trade crafts throughout his life, with a particular passion for woodworking and cabinet making. He spent a significant amount of time riding his Harley Motorcycle, on poker runs, fishing, and playing golf with friends. Randy had a passion for collecting all sorts of things, from lighters and guns to baseball and basketball cards, as well as cherished tokens of memories. He was also a member of the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with friends and family. He leaves behind a host of loving family, including his father, Floyd Englert, one son, Andrew (Maddison) Englert of Huntingburg; two daughters, Rachel (Tyler Huff) Workman of Birdseye and Jessica (Bryan Rosario) Englert of Brownsburg; six grandchildren, Hailey, Lyla, Colson, Zane, Bryce, and Noah; one brother, Kenny "Chutty" (Julie) Englert of Ferdinand, and one sister, Pamela (Patrick Mundy) Englert of Ferdinand. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Jean Englert. Visitation will be held on March 12th from 3:00 until 7:00 PM EDT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
