Rita C. Fuchs

Rita C. Fuchs, 71, of Ferdinand, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Brookside Village in Jasper. Rita was born August 6, 1955 in Indianapolis to Raymond and Caroline (Schipp) Hoppenjans. She married Clarence Fuchs on August 11, 1979 in St. Ferdinand Church. Clarence preceded her in death on January 9, 2019.

Rita enjoyed going to estate sales with her husband, Clarence. She enjoyed shopping trips and going out to eat with her friends and family. Rita was an animal lover, especially her dogs.

Rita is survived by a sister in-law, Sheila and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence and a brother, David Hoppenjans.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 16th at 10:00 AM ET at The Chapel of Our Sorrowful Mother in Ferdinand. Visitation will be Friday, October 16th at the Chapel of Our Sorrowful Mother from 9:00 AM ET until time of services at 10:00.
