Sandra K. Fleig, 66, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, March 28th at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburg. Sandra was born January 5, 1953 in Ironton, OH to Kenneth and Madge (Roundtree) Cook. Sandra married Val J. Fleig on December 29, 1984 in Petersburg. Sandra enjoyed planting flowers, swimming and spending time with family and friends. Sandra is survived by her husband Val Fleig of Petersburg; two sons, Daniel Fleig of Petersburg and John (Becky) Fleig of Ferdinand; one daughter, Elizabeth (Nick) Weyer of Ferdinand; one sister, Sue (Greg) Cook of Petersburg; her mother and Step-father, Madge and Hugh Eskew of Petersburg; niece, Amanda Cook of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Kennedy and Addison Weyer, Xander and Brooklyn Fleig all of Ferdinand. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth and a daughter, Wendy Fleig in infancy. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at First United Methodist Church in Petersburg. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of services at the church. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
