Shirley A. Barth, 74 of Jasper, formerly of Ferdinand passed away, October 15, 2015, at Brookside Village Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born in Celestine, In. on December 30, 1940 to August & Alma (Schnell) Brosmer. She married Fred A. Barth on October 7, 1961 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Fred A. Barth, 2 sons, Jeff Barth and his wife Kathy of St. Anthony, & Chad Barth and wife Julie of Jasper. 8 grandchildren also survive. 1 sister, Marlene Merder and husband Tony of Jasper. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Rickelman. Shirley was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish, and its St. Anns Sodality, & Ferdinand Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, cooking and being with family & friends. Funeral services 10:00 AM Saturday in St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial will follow in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery, Ferdinand. Friends may call from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church.
