Violet Kunkler, 98, of Ferdinand, passed away Sunday, October 28th at home. Violet was born August 10, 1920 in Dale to John and Rose (Jent) Hubers. She married Urban Kunkler on January 10, 1939 in Kentland, IN. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1995. Violet was retired from General Electric. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Larry) Bender of Ferdinand; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Victor "Short", Jerome and Father Raymond Hubers. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:00 AM CDT at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-7:00 PM CDT and Wednesday from 7-8:30 AM CDT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
