William A. Waninger, 90, of Saint Meinrad passed away Saturday September 24, 2022 at his home. William was born May 4, 1932 in St. Meinrad to Andrew and Ceclia (May) "Waninger. He was united in marriage to Rowena Harpenau on September 19, 1956 in Saint John Chrysostom Church in New Boston. William was a lifelong member of Saint Meinrad Parish. He retired from Emge meats. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Rowena Waninger, sons, Stanley and David Waninger both of Troy, and Daniel (Kim) Waninger of Dale. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, Raven Waninger, three brothers, Jerome, Albert and Francis Waninger, two sisters, Catherine Teed and Marie Gessner. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Thursday September 29th in Saint Meinrad Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
